If i was the director for the dagger soliloquy how would i do it and why?
If I was the director for the dagger soliloquy i would stage it, so that the audience could see the dagger a long with Macbeth. I would do this to show how i believe that Macbeth is crazy. I would do this by having the dagger floating in front of Macbeth, but move it out of his reach when he says, "Is this a dagger which I see before me,/ The handle toward my hand?" (2.1. 33-34). I would do this to show the audience that he may be just hallucinating. I would also have the dagger covered in blood because if when Macbeth says, "It is bloody business which informs/ Thus to mine eyes. (2.1. 48-49). I would do this to make Macbeth believe that he was meant to kill the king. If i was a director I would make the dagger bloody and floating in front of Macbeth to show how Macbeth has gone crazy.
